Gasthof Linko - Reserva de mesa

On our way to St. Polten, we chose to stop here for lunch. This restaurant is very clean and the one staff member was attentive despite our limited German and his limited English. We had the pork stuffed with bacon and fried potatoes as well as the wild boar sauerbraten with potato strudel and beer. The pork was tasty but way too thick for my taste. My husband finished it for me. He enjoyed the sauerbraten as well.

This was a stand out meal on our trip. Asparagus was in season and many menu items were including this local produce. Really excellent. I also tried the beef soup. The standard of the cooking was excellent the prawn in the risotto was firm but not over cooked with a slight crisp on one side perfect. Waiter and staff really excellent. Also good value. Thank you.

My colleagues and I shared a marvelous lunch at the Gasthof Linko. They were overwhelmed and subdued by the Cordon Blue and I by the Pork Medallions. We didn't sample their microbrew but it had been a long flight. We shall return!
