Linney Breaux's Cajun Eatery

Lots of recommendations from the local NSU football parents to try this place. Came on a Friday night at 8pm. No wait, plenty of tables. Greeted by a friendly host who sat us at our table. Ordered a smoky old fashion. sooooooo good. Appetizers were chargrilled oysters and gator bites. Had to try something new like gator. Tastes like chicken. Really yummy. Chargrilled oysters were good but a bit salty. They needed Tabasco but we were told they don’t have any. Isn’t that a Louisiana thing? Dinner was shrimp grits for the boys, Cajun pasta for me. Ordered the seafood plate with catfish, shrimp, fries and coke slaw. Fish was mushy and EVERYTHING was wayyyy to salty for me and my bf. I had 2 bites of fish, 1 bite of coleslaw, 4 fries and a couple shrimp and I just couldn't eat anymore it was so salty and fish was mushy. They asked if we wanted to go boxes and we said no thanks we couldn't eat it because it was all way too salty and the fish was mushy and the waitress said she was sorry and handed us our 50 dollar bill..smh. We will NOT be back, ever and will NOT recommend. Worst dining experience of my life. Don't go if u want good fish and you need an Abundance of salt on everything

Fantastic spot. Did a quick Google search and the photos as good as they appeared couldn't do it justice. Paige was a remarkable server mixing up a mean bloody mary and gave some great recommendations. The boudain balls were terrific and could make a light meal. Finished with gumbo and it was solid. Thank you for the great atmosphere, service and food! Will be back.

The "pies" we received were not as described or shown on the menu. Instead of the expected filling, mine contained rice and some type of crawfish, which could pose a serious risk to someone with food allergies who might mistakenly think it was beef or pork. This restaurant is typically one of our favorites, but during this last visit, we opted for takeout. I ordered the Beignets, and they were surprisingly tiny—about the size of a granola bar!

The Cajun food here is outstanding. The gumbo is incredible, and the roux is seriously impressive! The catfish is fantastic—perfectly seasoned and tender.

Boudin balls are excellent! My friend had the Breaux Burger which was amazing! Everything was amazing! Real Cajun like you're actually in Louisiana.

Too loud.Could not sit where we wanted due to “waitress balancing”. $2 for bread to eat with the gumbo??? Give me a break!
