Thought dinner & a go at Trivia night would be great. Wrong !!!!! I had Fettuccine Marinara it was so bland with pasta I could not recognize as Fettuccine ! No sauce dry as old string .. there was some nice prawns calamari & 2 dried up mussels but did not make up for the dryness at $27 what an absolute disgrace . My fellow diners commented the Steak dinner was OK but nothing special , The Barramundi was said to be soggy shinned & fish was watery & tasteless , the Salmon dinner was described as fair Of the 6 different Dinners ordered not one person would say "that was nice" Not only is the food preparation 2nd class , The prices were out of touch for what was served. Currently a member of the club and this can get you discounts and cheaper meals. A very wide selection of food, very affordable and caters for kids with a huge play area so parents can keep an eye on them. Usually no issues with seating either. A number of pool tables and TV's around the club with horse racing, footy, etc. plus a TAB if you want to place a bet. Lots of slot machines but not too many, this seems to caters for the amount of people through the door. Live music on the weekends (they get some great cover bands in) and if there's a big sporting event, such as boxing or footy, they usually have something going on there usually with the odd prize to win.
The place was okay, it looks great from the outside but unfortunately the staff were a bit rude at the bar and were more interested in watching the footy then what they were to serve the patrons. The food was okay, i had the archini balls which were a bit dry. And my partner had a caesar salad which seemed to be mostly lettuce with minimal bacon and croutons and sauce.
attended with 20 others 16/6/17, menu good range of foods. I selected calamari. Excellent, whilst others had food ranging from steaks, risotto,carbonara, and others food. All highly rated. Service great and staff very friendly. Definately recommend and will be attending again next time in Brisbane

From the outside it looks impressive. All the times I've been there the service is slow, and they seem to have a number of unfriendly staff. At busy times, it takes ages to order, and longer to receive. Basic club type meals.
This place gets very busy on the weekends and nights so make sure you book ahead - we waited 2 hours once when we didnt! The food is good and servings generous, and the prices reasonable.
This is a pretty typical sports club; with plenty of pub grub, countless amounts of pokies, a bar, more tables and chairs than they could ever possibly need
The Lion's Club at Springwood is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to, and I've been to back-alley restaurants in third-world countries!
