"Value for great tasting authentic Vietnamese! We tried the p pho which had a tasteful soup and fresh ingredients comparable to popular restaurants in Adelaide. The roast pork vermicelli was flavoursome and the crackling was surprisingly crunchy. Highly recommended!"

I have been on a bit of a Bahn Mi mission lately around Adelaide, sussing out new and old haunts to see how they compare. There is a lot of competition out there for the humble roll and you really want to get it right to have return trade. Unfortunately, Lemongrass failed me this time. We both ordered BBQ Lemongrass Beef combo, mine with roast pork, foodie mate with BBQ Pork. Well, I must say, the BBQ Beef and BBQ Pork bring a whole new meaning to Mystery Meat! OMG! What is that??!! The mystery beef did not resemble any beef that I have ever eaten before and same with the pork. Thankfully my roast pork, was exactly that, but not very much of it and very little crackling. We actually ate our rolls as we were starving! We consumed the Bahns hesitantly with darting glances between mystery meats and ourselves! We were happy we survived! On a good note, the actual bread roll itself, was super light and crunchy. Shame. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

If this was in the CBD it'd probably get a 3.5 (hard to beat Tahn Tahn, Adelaide Pho and Renaissance Arcade) but being the closest pho to where I work for quite some time gets it up to a 4/5. The pho is warm, fresh and tasty and at a great price. The last few times I've gone in at lunch time, they've been closed which is annoying.
