I have been to this restaurant before and the food was great. This time it started well enough I had a tuna carpaccio with sesame seed dressing and it was lovely. We ordered the Catalans stew for main course Which smelt fantastic and promised to be just as good however on starting to eat mine I found that the fish fillet in the centre had not been descaled at all. The scales were in edible as scales are and a lot got into the stew. Having said this I tried carry on and eat the rest of the stew as it was very tasty. When asked afterward if everything was ok I replied yes except that my fish had scales on. There was a debate in the kitchen as to whether it was hake of sea bass it was established it was sea bass and they shrugged and moved on. I have never eaten in a fish Resturant were it is ok to serve a fish with all the scales on. I was not Looking for them to remove it from the bill but I did expect an apology. They were wrong and sorry costs nothing. I would really like them to respond to this review as I really would like to give it another try. The waiting staff were very friendly and I really hope it isn’t somewhere that I wound go back to.
Day trip to Cambrils and found this restaurant by chance. What an excellent find. My wife and I had the patatas bravas, the mussels and the langoustines . I must say the food was excellent the service was excellent and the ambience and location of the restaurant was excellent also. Must also mention the tiramisu best I've ever tasted.We wish we would have found this restaurant at the start of our holiday. Will definitely be back. Thank you Llop de Mar.ú
