Lobster Galley - Reserva de mesa

This restaurant is located where we started our drive of the Cabot Trail and decided we would stop for dinner as we made our way home at the end of the day. We were disappointed in both the service and the food and the prices. My fish and chips appeared to be your standard pre-formed, probably frozen, breaded fish pieces and the chips were just standard fries you can get anywhere. My friend's mussel order was small and no where near as good as we had had at other places while traveling. Service was slow and abrupt. With so many other wonderful places to choose from for local fare, I suggest you try someplace else. We were traveling by RV, so when we decide to actually eat out, we expect much...

On a trip around the east side of the trail I had a craving for mussels. What better a place to have mussels than a restaurant which overlooks one of the largest mussel aquaculture sites on the globe? Well...not this one....or at least not on the day I visited. For context I believe I need to add that I am an expert on seafood. (Not a self proclaimed expert but one that is called upon for their opinion in a professional context). The "pick date" was sadly long before my visit. Another day or two in cold storage and they would have been inedible. The broth was good however tainted slightly by the age of the mussels. This restaurant, right next to our motel (St Ann's) was a real find! We had both lunch and dinner here. Our table overlooked the lake with fabulous views. Excellent and attentive service both times. We had the seafood chowder (the best I had in Nova Scotia, with big chunks of salmon, lobster, etc;). a cranberry chicken salad (sort of meh, I really should have ordered seafood;) and fish. Can't beat the location. Enjoy!

We decided this would be our dinner spot on our way back from golfing at Highland Links. Very pretty views, lovely and friendly service. And of course a delicious lobster salad sandwich! We were staying in Whycocomaugh - Keltic Quay Cottages and this assured us of an easy drive back after dinner (30 minutes) to our cottage after a perfect day of golf at Highland Links. Food is authentic to the area and tasted fresh. The fish chowder was delicious and the biscuits an added treat. The service was very friendly and efficient. And best of all, the view was phenomenal!

So expensive for the dish! I ate a 16-$ salad and my chum to eat pasta with olive oil for $17 extremely expensive! I can't understand why there are so many people in this restaurant!

It was a good surprise to see they had a GF options. Food was nice and the staff were very friendly. Take a walk outside and see one of the best peaceful and breathtaking sight.

Service was good. Lovely waterfront view. We went for lunch. Everything was tasty and exactly what we where looking for.
