Local Gerai Malaysian Restaurant

Had dinner with my wife mid week. Never tried Local Gerai before and was pleasantly surprised. It's a very small and intimate restaurant along the main cafe strip of Caroline Springs. We shared a Pad Thai for entree then had a curry with roti each. The roti was so flakey and delicious, and would go back for that alone. The service was perfect, the ambiance inviting and the food came out hot and timely. Overall i could recommend the place for either family dinners or something more intimate for couples.

We had dinner last night and were very satisfied with the food and service. We had the banquet C which had 3 individual entrees then 3 mains with fried rice and a fried banana with ice cream to finish. The food was delicious and the staff very attentive even asking if we wanted breaks between courses which did. There was so much food we took the remainder home as it was too good to leave. The price considering the amount of food was exceptional. We will definitely be going back.

We have eaten here a number of times only discovered it last Nov..wow every time we go the food is tasty, fresh & enjoyable I have taken many visitors here & they all agree excellent. Some of our Fav's... Salt & pepper quail, roast duck best Eva & I've tried plenty, calamari & butter prawns very decadent & simply awesome this also comes in butter chicken I've tried both. Very well priced & the service is always friendly. Another plus it's BYO wine. Enjoy

One of my favourite local restaurants. I love the food, it never disappoints. That coupled with the most welcoming proprietor and professional and friendly service, you can't go wrong!

We have dined at Local Gerai a number of times and always had a great meal supported by excellent service. Serving sizes are large and the food is always fresh
