Local On North Duluth

We visited for the first time yesterday and it was fantastic! We were seated right away, and our waitress, Jessie, was an absolute sweetheart. Very kind and attentive. I had the onion soup, the marinated beet salad, and the chicken francaise (pictured , and all three were DELICIOUS! The blood orange old fashioned was a unique and summery take on my favorite drink. Would order every single thing again. The only critique I have is that all of the courses came out withina couple minutes of each other. By the time I had finished my soup and taken a few bites of the salad, my chicken was no longer warm (but still tasty! I will say that a second server did come by after we placed our order to ask...

Local on north was a Pleasant Experience overall. The food was exceptional I would rate it 4.8/5.00 couple of items were sold out even though we got there before the dinner rush, aside from that the Bang bang shrimp was nice and freshly made with tender shrimp. Entrées where well presented and both of the fish dishes we tried were tasty and fresh, only taking .2 points off for the skin not being crispy on both plates. Service was great. Cynthia took great care of us, she was on point going through daily specials, and suggesting appetizers to start off with. This restaurant is an amazing spot. I don't often write reviews but I feel inclined to for this spot. I've been frequenting local on north for a few months and their food is addicting. Their salads a full of topping and no bites are just lettuce. The added meat is a full 6-8 oz portion of steak/fish/chicken on the side. My favorite is the sweet thang salad but I honestly recommend the whole menu. Thank you so much to Local on North's staff for being incredibly welcoming and personable I have loved every experience I've had here!

The goat cheese appetizer was really good. Steak frites came with truffle fries which was good, but they cooked the steak medium instead of medium rare. The RKO burger was huge and tasty. Bread pudding was 10/10. Main things I didn’t like was they didn’t honor our patio reservation, and the inside of the restaurant is very loud since it’s a smaller area. Been here twice and always happy. The food is always great. Nice options, portions and flavors. The staff is always friendly and prompt to the table and the restaurant is very nice. Is never too loud or uncomfortable. Been there for brunch and dinner, win both times.
