Local Shellfish - Reserva de mesa

We went here expecting a restaurant environment. What we found was a seafood hut on a pier with a couple of picnic tables that had no seating available. There was no line to speak of, and our place was within walking distance, so we ordered the Grand Platter to go. It was prepared quickly and we carried it back, trading off the heavy container from time to time! Inside we found every kind of seafood imaginable, with some I'd never had before along with the absolute best salmon I've ever had. Great place, and definitely will be back.

This restaurant is cash only and make sure to bring small bills. I had lunch here five times and tried a variety of dishes including scallops, cold shrimp, lobster sandwich, mussels, crab sandwich, and prawn sandwich. The prices are reasonable and the location near the Calmac harbor is convenient. The seating is communal with benches, so you can sit, eat, and even make friends with other diners and travelers. Just be sure to eat quickly in the colder months as the food cools down fast due to the cold wind.

had read about this venue whilst looking for places to visit in Oban , reviews sounded good so popped along. its at the end of the harbour area , right beside where you would board the ferry, so a prime spot ! it was a really nice and sunny day so the queue was big but moving quickly. we had a round of sandwiches each , one crab and one hot smoked salmon. both very good especially the salmon. we just sat on the jetty/harbour low wall and watched the world go by. good food and would visit again !

Really disappointed with food and service. Mussels over cooked and scallops bland not seared. Sliced supermarket bread which was soggy and pretty awful. Claimed not to have enough cash/coins and so gave us less change back than was due when we paid. Server thought this was acceptable! I messaged them on Facebook to inquire about ordering a seafood platter before catching the ferry to Mull. They were very accommodating and had the platter ready for us when we arrived at the ferry terminal. They even packed it in my cooler bag with ice, and we had a fantastic meal upon reaching our holiday cottage.

Cash only!! Great quality and value. We got the seafood platter for 2 and asked for it to be wrapped up as we were heading for the ferry. We saved it for dinner than night with a bottle of white and we’re not disappointed. Lots of variety and delicious.

Locally known at The Green Shack and located by Oban’s ferry terminal. Delicious seafood, cooked onsite, table eating area outside but covered by tarpaulin. Unpretentious, friendly and reasonably priced, a taste of Scotland

Got to sample some great seafood from the local waters in Oban. Service quick and courteous, prices good and the seafood was excellent. Make this a must do on your things in Oban.

I bought 5 oysters for eating outdoors at the hut. They were large, fresh, beautifully prepared and exceptionally good. Can't recommend highly enough.
