L'Oceane - Reservar una mesa

a lively tourist place in the central square of ars. we visited this place a few times, but that was the worst. the service is always rude and abrupt. the child menu included a main course and a desert. we asked if we could have the main course, and they said no, it was only full of cost all the time. we didn't want to give our children ice cream on the day. Pity if restaurants don't make their options flexible, why not just a main course for children?

we had two good meals here. I don't know why we haven't eaten here yet, but we'll be back. like all restaurants in ars it is best to reserve in advance. by changing weather we ate in the interior in a comfortable, friendly dining room. but there is also a good outside area. the food is good and the service is friendly. a good place for a group or family recommended.

Outstanding food in an informal, friendly, delightful setting. The duck galette with its mix of cuts of smoked duck was a meal in itself. The flambe’d apple lovely. The sundaes delicious and fun. All in the dappled shadow of the church. The standards on this...island are high but this place has that little extra and all no extra cost

Had the set menu for 21 Euro. Lovely king prawn starter and nice red meat with fries and salad. The ile de re red wine called petit sergent was excellent and not unlike a good Merlot. Nice restaurant. Faces the small square and lovely famous...church. Very busy, lucky to get a table for one without a reservation.

we arrived at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and realized that they begin to serve at 12 a.m. we have asked if we sit on the terrace and have a drink while we wait for some people to drink. the guy said we couldn't and was. very rude for us! I couldn't believe how he spoke to us and why he refused. how rude they can be!

It is clearly popular and the food is fine, how could anyone go wrong with fish dishes here? Pleasant enough service although we waited rather for everything. Not outstanding, but it's not pretending to be so. Good honest French food.

terrible experience. the service was lazy and the customer treatment was very bad. one of the waiters called us over the restaurant to go to bakery next door if we wanted a queer service. would not recommend it.

Our second visit to this restaurant. Friendly staff, good ambiance, affordable menu. Good place to eat for both lunch and dinner Located in the centre of Ars-en-Ré, next to the famous black and white church.

A great place for savoury galettes and sweet crepes, next to Ars’ wonderful black and white church. The waiters are friendly and lovely too.

We have just had a great meal of Sole and a Galette. Beautifully cooked and presented in a very pleasant location in the town centre.
