Lockentopf - Reservar una mesa

Expecting this to be a café and bar, the exquisite food was a wonderful surprise. I made several return trips after such a great experience to continue to explore the menu. Food and drinks are delicious and well presented, the atmosphere is inviting and relaxed. The service is stupendous, even though I speak no German, they were welcoming and assisted with the menu. Can't recommend this place enough.

It is a very small restaurant, so the kitchen room is also small. The thai-curry and chicken salads are GF, but let the waitress know you are celiac.

Thank you Lockentopf for my new obsession with grilled cheese- for real, the dishes are amazing and so so so tasty. A must-go if you are in Aarau!

Service overwhelmed, waited 1 hour for an aperitif plate, atmosphere uncomfortable. Don't go there again. No longer recommended.
