It is sometimes easy to criticize for a yes or no. As part of a "Bongo" box that we had received, we spent two nights from August 10 to 12 at the Hotel de la Régence. When we arrived we were very well received and knowing that the boxes were always at very tight prices, we immediately asked for the type of room and paid a supplement for a perfect room with view of the port, perfect shower room and separate toilet, room for 2. Breakfast is at the RDV for a 3* , the person who deals with breakfast is very pleasant. We also had the evening dinner as part of the Regate menu that was correct and the very professional staff. We need to know where we're going... The Hotel La Régence is a good 3* at...
We tested this facility and were particularly satisfied. We enjoyed it both at the hotel and restaurant level. The room was spacious, with a quality bedding and a bathroom with a beautiful Italian shower and a large balneo bath. The food was refined with products of choice, fresh and season and cooking, whether it is meat or fish (since we have tested both) are perfectly controlled. The service is efficient and accompanied by smiles and friendliness. What else to say is that we felt that he deserved his 3 stars to the lodges of France. We'll go back to the next opportunity.
Excellent meal in this restaurant with warm and marine décor. We enjoyed the specialties of the sea (soupe aux rougets, nuts de Saint-Jacques, encornets), the originality of the dishes based on fresh vegetables, as well as desserts, including the meringue lemon pie revisited. Friendly, friendly and professional waitress.
We went to the restaurant... we came out a little disappointed: slow service and lack of rigor. In the chosen menu, two out of four desserts were broken. We were not offered to choose from the other menus. Too bad!

The hotel is very well placed on the port of Cherbourg, the reception is cordial and the room was satisfactory. The breakfast is really complete and very good! Only flat, no WiFi in the rooms and that's really bad.
Arrived by chance to dinner without reservation, we were very well welcomed and well placed. The 22,5€ meal was of quality and the service pleasant and efficient. It was a good time.
