Lone Star Texas Grill

This is the third review I've written about this specific restaurant, and the downhill slide is apparent.When it first opened it was great! Good Tex-Mex in great atmosphere. Then I noticed that they had dropped the ball a bit. Now, I just don't need to go back.We went specifically for the fajitas, their signature dish. Several of us ordered them, and we all had similar complaints - far to expensive for what you were served.Lone Star has their own tortilla making machine in full view of the restaurant, and on a Saturday it's usually running full tilt to keep up with the demand, so I thought it odd when I saw nothing going on with it. My husband and I stopped in this afternoon at lunch. No-one to greet us at the door so we had to go in to the dining room to find a waiter. She put us in a booth, left menus and then about 10 mins later came back to take out drink orders.There were three other couples so it wasn't as if they were busy. Placed our orders and asked for coffee - this brown luke warm "stuff" came and was advised it was coffee. Must have been made early in the morning as it was terrible. Food not much better either.Mine had obviously been sitting under a hot light as it was dried out and far from appetizing. The waitress didn't stop back once to check on us, ask if there was anything else we needed of offered ref...

Very disappointed tonight! We are former loyal customers of this Lone Star, the last few times we have gone they are offering so much less actual food and increased prices. The service was very poor. The place was pretty much empty and we waited forever to get our food. Our waitress was busy serving most of the tables while three servers and the manager visited in the bar area. Tonight was our last visit. Very sad to see the decline of what was once our favorite restaurant.

If your not a fan of crowds go early. Like most restaurants in Newmarket this one always is busy. Arrived just after 5 and were seated immediately. Wait staff were friendly and fast Food arrived promptly and was excellent. Restaurant quickly filled up with groups and families. Would definitely return. Reserva una mesa ahora

The fajitas are our favourite menu item here and they are good, but every time we have come to this location, the service has been painfully slow. And, now, with no free chips and salsa while you wait for your order (and wait, and wait...), it's just sad. We go elsewhere for fajitas now. :(

Saturday mid afternoon often finds me here. I love the decor. Their food is always tasty and visually attractive. Portions are a good size and everyone is friendly. What more can you want? Right? Good food, good drink,good friends,good service and a great patio.

Joined a colleague for lunch mid week. The place was not very busy at all, so service was good and quick. Food was on par for this type of restaurant - fresh and tasty. Newer building so looked very clean and up to date. Overall a good experience.

We eat here at least once a week, we always sit in the bar so we can be served by "Daisy" , food is great and the service is always excellent!! Best Chicken fingers in town!!! Reserva una mesa ahora

Waited over an hour for a fajita at lunch and the staff did not care. Manager came over and said it was slow because the bar was busy but there was no one in the bar.

Food was ok, service was fine but we did not enjoy the food as much as other restaurents in the area
