I've been craving steak a fair amount lately, so I decided to give this link in the LongHorn chain a try. To sum up my experience, the food was very good, but the service was sub par. Here's the long version my waitress never asked if I wanted water, and didn't offer to get me a refill on my ice tea. I asked for dressing on the side, and they just dumbed a glop of it on my salad instead. She even forgot to bring me a straw... As for the hostess, she didn't really greet us, and completely ignored us as we were leaving the restaurant. The saving grace of my visit was the steak. It was very reasonably priced given the quality of the meat; nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked to my specification...
This was our first visit, and we will definitely return! My son ordered the filet and lobster, while I had the Parmesan-crusted chicken, and both dishes were outstanding—cooked to perfection. The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, and my son's steak and lobster were packed with flavor and cooked just right. Considering my son is quite particular about his steak, that's a significant compliment! Our waitress, Lexis, was not only polite but also very attentive, especially given how busy it was; our food came out remarkably quickly. Overall, my son and I had a wonderful experience! We even stayed for dessert, which did not disappoint either!
Longhorn is undoubtedly one of the most reliable restaurants I've visited. This was my first experience at this particular location, and I placed an order for curbside pickup online. Although it felt like we waited quite a while for them to bring out our order after checking in, the food made it worth the wait. We enjoyed the Parmesan Crusted Spinach Dip, Spicy Chicken Bites, and the Parmesan Crusted Chicken entree, and everything was delicious! The crispy flatbread chips served with the spinach dip were especially fantastic! No one in our group had any complaints, which is quite impressive for a takeout order!
Overall, I had a decent experience at the restaurant. The food was tasty, and the prices were reasonable. However, I wasn't fond of being charged extra for different side dishes. You need to be mindful of what you order because it can easily add an extra $5 to your meal. While I know this practice isn't exclusive to this restaurant, it does annoy me a bit. The onion blossom appetizer was enjoyable, and I appreciated that it was served in pieces rather than as a whole onion, which can sometimes be greasy. I typically order the outlaw ribeye when I come here, usually getting three of them. The sides are fantastic, and the steak is consistently delicious. The staff at the Shelby and Sterling Heights locations are always friendly. Since I usually get my meals to go, I can't really comment on the interior, but it always appears clean and has a pleasant aroma. I’ll definitely be back!
This is our favorite restaurant. The food is consistently excellent. It's often busy, but we think the wait is worth it. The staff is always friendly and the place is kept clean. The service is very good! Our top picks here are the rib-eye steak, salad, cocktails, rice, and shrimp. We highly recommend this restaurant!
