This was an unusual experience for me. Despite having previously dined at Lon 's, I decided to call ahead and make early dinner reservations since I had out-of-town guests. To my surprise, the person on the phone asked me to specify my gratuity before confirming the reservation. The food was absolutely delicious, earning a perfect score of 5. Every dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Old Timey Restaurant seems to rely heavily on its legacy. However, despite its mixed reviews, I truly enjoyed the best diver-caught ocean scallops I’ve ever had, better than those I've tasted in various countries. It’s clear that the chef possesses remarkable skills, even if the management does not seem to match that level of excellence. The restrooms could use some upkeep, and the staff appear disengaged, as if they are struggling to meet the high standards that the restaurant was once known for in terms of food and service. I absolutely adore this place! The grounds are stunning, the service is exceptional, and the menu is fantastic. This has become my new favorite spot for a relaxed Sunday brunch. Sometimes you just want to unwind with delicious food and great friends (maybe even a few bottles of wine), and this is the perfect place for that. The menu offers a delightful variety, from indulgent to wholesome, and everyone found something they loved. The short rib hash, roasted turkey sandwich, and eggs benedict were all amazing!

LON's at The Hermosa Inn is a true desert oasis. The ambiance, with its lush gardens and cozy fireplaces, is perfect for a romantic dinner. The farm-to-table cuisine is outstanding, and the service is impeccable. LON's offers a memorable dining experience in a serene setting, making it a must-visit in Paradise Valley. One of the dishes we ordered was inedible and had to be sent back. Two of us had the bison, which was oddly tough yet undercooked. The head waiter came over to inform us that they have a new chef, so perhaps they're still working out the kinks. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I doubt we will return.
