Having been here several times over the 5 years pre Covid, I was really looking forward to enjoying my birthday meal here with my wife. We made a 2 hour detour just to come here, but what a disappointment! My Cullen skink starter was basically a bowl of smoky tasting cream with some raw onion spread over the top. I had mussels for the main, they were supposed to come with crusty bread I found the bread in with the mussels rather than on a separate plate, and it definitely wasn’t crusty! My wife had the langoustines which we were asked if she wanted hot or cold. She ordered them hot when they arrived the shells were warm, but the meat inside was cold. When I mentioned this to the staff I was...

I used to go here occasionally to get a bite to eat if I was passing, however I hadn't been for quite a while. I had suggested it to a friend as a mutually convenient location for a catchup over a bit of pub grub. I felt something was off as soon as I walked in the door the place was virtually empty with only a couple of tables occupied by glum looking yachtsmen and no locals around. Unwashed glasses on the bar and uncleared tables were indications of demoralised staff hardly surprising since there was no sign of any managerial oversight. Weird decor, sticky tables, an unwatched big flatscreen TV showing Formula 1 on one wall and awful soft rock music playing slightly too loudly in the backg...

We had booked to come here on the evening of our arrival for a week at Croabh Haven. Uncertainty about it being open was borne out by later times when we were looking for a drink and found it closed, perhaps owing to staff shortage, but the night we were there it was bustling. Superlative local oysters, moules frites that were not quite Belgian but very good with a bottle of Picpoul de Pinet, and nice fish and chips, followed by tempting puddings. Drinks are not cheap, but so far from town that is fair enough.

Just had chicken and bacon burger no bacon. Firstly waited 15 minutes to get served (not busy) went to bar asked if you order the bar told yes, table next to me had order taken table,. Make your mind up. Food average at best. When I told staff no bacon got a och did you not. No loo paper, I will not be back. Staff need training not their fault. All in all as local cannot recommend here. Reserva una mesa ahora

We were delighted with the varied menu, the service and the quality of the food so much that we returned later that week! As a group of 9 (6 adults and 3 young kids we were initially worried about the suitability of the venue for us but the staff made us very welcome and were great with the kids.

So... you have this fantastic location and a fairly well off clinetele and all you can manage is frozen food. On top of all that you 're right next to the sea. No decent seafood. I suspect even the 'local ' mussels were from the local Co op in Loch Gilphead or the local Tesco in Oban.

Lovely pub, friendly staff who were great with my daughter and gave her some crayons. Just had a drink/coffee, played some pool and then they were kind enough to give us directions to a good spot by the sea.

Good food overlooking the marina in croabh haven. The menu had lots to choose from and staff were very helpful. Be careful to check opening times especially out with high season. Reserva una mesa ahora

Lovely spot for dinner with great food and a fabulous sunset. I think like a lot of pubs in Scotland they were short staffed but it did not show as the service was great.
