They popped up in Bloomingdale court one day with their food truck, so me being a s for Mexican food, I had to stop and try. I'm so glad I did. Cheese Quesadilla was the bomb! This time, I found their restaurant location and went in for a sit down. Good size quick bite to eat in a strip mall off Irving Park Road. About 15 booths surround the outside wall with tables in the middle. Got the Steak Quesadilla this time and and was so satisfied. The green salsa in the bottle is soooooo good. Not spicy at all, I loaded it on my Quesadilla.
This place is pretty good. We've had a few variations of the fajitas and the tacos. The birria is tasty. The horchata is great and the service is good. It's a bit pricey for mexican.I really dislike the credit card readers that the waiters bring to your table. It makes you input a tip right in front of them. It's awkward and irritating. Just bring me a check like any other restaurant.Parking: Parking is limited and on a sharp incline. Shared with other shops on the strip.
The tacos are good, I haven't tried many, but they do them well. The cakes are lousy and too expensive for what they offer. Only 2 small pastor tacos (very good) and a very small torta, with practically nothing in it and bad! It was 26 DLLs, I don't think it's worth it, for those prices, there are much better places. Was in the Hanover Park area and on a search for some authentic Mexican food, a quick google search led me to this hidden gem, Service was absolutely great even though I was getting takeout,had a chance to meet the owner (cool guy) the ambience and decor was awesome,they even have a full bar,I ordered the birria and it was delicious 8.5 out of 10, definitely give this location a try. I used to be a huge fan of this place but it no longer tastes as good. The other day my burrito was dripping in oil, it tasted so bland. Fries were dry and nasty, This is the second time where it no longer tastes as amazing as it once did. Will have to find another place ?
I wish big restaurants who serve meat take some classes from this place on how to cook their meat properly. I asked for a medium and I was given medium. And the fun part, I only waited for less than 10 minutes. I also finished my meal... that says somethingFood: 5/5
Food was great. Very authentic and I can still taste it even though I had it almost a week ago. I think I know what I'm getting for dinner. So worth the drive and I live in South Elgin.Food: 5/5
