Originally from Austin, I have missed the Mexican Martini served at Trudy’s in Austin. Have not found a comparable one in San Antonio. While traveling, I would suggest ordering 1 and splitting it between 2-3 people. Their Mexican Martini is excellent. I have never had a bad meal here. The Food is very good and so is the service. You won’t be disappointed, at least, you shouldn’t be. I have enjoyed every visit.
It was Saturday evening and the restaurant was busy. Our service was great, the food was delicious and there was a great vibe. One of our orders was incorrect but was quickly taken care of when we addressed the issue. The attention was a little over the top with three different individuals making the rounds asking if all was alright.
The food was good, but bland. The queso was Velveeta and a can of Rotel. Huge language barrier with our waiter and ordering a jack and diet coke didn't happen as he couldn't understand what I was asking for. Went ahead and ordered a diet Coke and a shot of jack and made my own. Kids enjoyed the free ice cream.
Went there twice this week. Some of the best food ever! My wife and I both had taco salads the first time, and street tacos the second time. Both were the best ever! I highly recommend going there. We'll be back for sure. Reserva una mesa ahora
Columbus, TX has two of my top favorite restaurants, and this Mexican spot is one of them. The food is very good overall, but I would recommend avoiding the shrimp cocktail as it may not meet your expectations.
