we were looking for a place for lunch and thought this place looked good. The guy who seated us said I’ll bring you the assortment of fish for today. I said Muy Bien and Oh my God…. The first plate was thin strips of breaded fried eggplant, then a plate of thinly sliced white fish sautéed in butter and lemon, then chunks of battered and fried white fish, then Malaga clams with white wine and capers, then thinly sliced tuna sautéed with lemon, then a huge bowl of tiny clams, then grilled octopus. I might have left something out, it was all amazing. Place was almost empty when we got there, we wanted a table in the sun but he said it was reserved. Got another table and within 15 minutes the place was packed with locals. We thanked him profusely and left with a full tummy and a smile! We would highly recommend this place. The price was very reasonable for all the food and wine we got.
Well it certainly didn’t disappoint, one of the first through the evening just opened doors with a friendly owner and great team. I was lucky and didn’t book, but the reservation phone was constantly ringing. Reading some past reviews and the fact that my Spanish isn’t great, I just sat back and asked the owner to keep bringing the food out. Tapas only in the way that dishes were brought out and it was only when your finished and would like more dishes they were brought. I had a superb mixture of all they had to offer please see the pictures, great quality fish and cooked to perfection. If you like fish shellfish then your in heaven. The owner after about 6 courses asked if I could manage another and who was I to refuse, superb food, great service and to top it all very reasonable prices. A must go to people !
When we were told by our foodie hotel manager that they had their staff do here we immediately booked No tourist pretentious here,just plate after plate of shellfish and fish,grilled or fried.There is a menu but unless there is something you don’t eat it is just worth saying “ bring it on” and see what arrives.It’s not going to cost a fortune and it is all good. The white wine is good the rosado less so If I was to be picky some accompanying sauces would be great such as something garlicky or spicy.
