Los Cinco Puntos is a family-owned Mexican deli in East LA that has been in business for over 50 years since it opened in 1967. The deli gained fame after being featured in the 1993 film Blood In Blood Out, and is renowned for its hand-made tortillas and carnitas lengua. The deli offers a free private parking lot, but street parking can be challenging to find in the area. With a small lunch crowd, indoor and outdoor seating may be limited, so customers often enjoy their meals in their cars. The ordering process is straightforward - simply wait in line, place your order at the counter, and pay. The menu includes 11 meat options for tacos, as well as burritos, tortas, and sopes. The combo #1 w...

What's not to like?Crispy flautas that doesn't stab your gum, crunchy chicharons, amazing handmade tortilla, and more salsa you could ever dream of. This place is like a taco truck heaven, but not on a truck. I came at 2pm and there was still a long queue. The taco is slightly bigger though, so if you think you can usually finish four tacos, do plan out your ravenous desires.Chicharon: the best!Flautas: nice and crispyCarnitas: kinda lean, but still greatLengua: generous, big, and slightly gameyTripa: theirs are not the usual crispy small tripa, probably they use big intestines? So it's kinda bigger and not crunchy, but tastes deeper and more buttery.Definitely will come again for more of th...

I have been wanting to come here for a while and I was excited to finally have tried their food. However, it didn't live up to the hype. The service was great! The man who attended us was very kind and helped us out. The carnitas were rather bland. They had a nice soft texture but they were cold and flavorless. Very disappointing but I am willing to try the other meats another time. Parking on the street is your best.

At $3.49 a taco, it's well worth the money. Some people think that they're expensive. The amount of toppings they put on it is worth it. A choice of red or green sauce, pico de gallo, nopales or guacamole sauce (extra). They serve it with fresh in house made corn tortilla. I was talking to one of the workers that they have been in business for 52 years! I like this place, will be back to try other things on the menu. Reserva una mesa ahora

Must try! I have decided to become their regular because meat is delicious. So the meat for tacos, tamales, burrito, etc alllll are great. I went to get tamales for christmas and went before the crowd. Everyone there was super nice and helpful with a smile. There are no place to eat but the food is so fresh and hot, if you go to a near by park and eat it will be perfect!

I went to this restaurant today for the first time ever with my co-worker Oscar. The service was excellent, everyone was so friendly! From Moni to Steve (the owner), it was a great experience. And the food...amazing!!! The carnitas tacos were cooked to perfection and the handmade tortillas were delicious. Can't wait to go back! Food: 5/5

Honestly this place set some pretty high expectations given the ambiance with the tortilla grille and long line but sadly none of that translates into their food. These have been some of the blandest carnitas I have ever tried. From their burritos to tamales you taste the beans and maza more than the meat.

First time at los 5 puntos, I pre ordered tamales for Christmas a dozen of each, pork, chicken, rajas con queso , and dulce. All were very delicious very satisfied with the flavor and quality. But I hear that they are known for their carnitas and chicharrón, next time I'll try that .Food: 5/5 Reserva una mesa ahora
