Los Tapatios - Reservar una mesa

My husband and I took my parents here for a birthday lunch on a Sunday afternoon around 2 PM. We were greeted and seated very quickly, our drinks came out promptly as well as the chips and salsa. We ordered queso as well. The chips were very greasy, the queso was very watery, and the salsa lacked flavor. We ordered and our food was out within five minutes. I ordered the chimichangas and I was honestly quite surprised at how small they were in comparison to other authentic Mexican restaurants. The side of rice, however, was very large. overall, this is an OK experience, but not some place I think we'd come back to.

Being new to the area, I was looking for authentic Mexican Food so I tried Los Tapatios for lunch. We were greeted and seated right away. I ordered Fish Tacos and my companion ordered the Chipotle Burrito and we split an order of Chicken Fajita Nachos. We both thought our main dishes were very good. But we raved about the nachos! A nice variation and plentiful! We will return!

My family ate here twice in 2 days so we obviously enjoyed the food. The taquitos were good. I enjoyed their special pineapple marinated pork fajitas. The margaritas are pretty good. Service was hit or miss both visits but in all fairness they were very busy. The restaurant is large and decorated colorfully with Mexican artwork.

The food is always hot and great for authentic Mexican. The service is very good and responsive. Not the most talkative and more to the point but that's ok. It's a little dated inside and could use a good facelift but the food flavors make it worth a stop. The prices are decent and won't break the bank.

Good Mexican food but I need the tortas to come back expeditiously, ASAP. 1 dollar tacos was a stellar experience
