Los Tres Amigos - Reservar una mesa

I happened to be visiting Downtown Northville with my wife when I spotted Los Tres Amigos restaurant. We reluctantly went in because the person waiting at the door as a host, did not look welcoming. He also happened to be the seater and the waiter at the same time--all three in one. The guy did not look happy at all, though. Not a good start. I was hesitant between ordering Fish Tacos or Nayarit Fish Tacos. I asked him which one he preferred. He recommended the latter. Bad choice. My wife ordered Vegetable Fajitas. The food came quickly. Later, I knew why (because maybe it was frozen). My Nayarit tasted nothing at all, not even like a fish or any thing--just like a cold water. I kid you not....

We have visited this restaurant multiple times for dining in, and the food was decent, though sometimes inconsistent. The service was efficient, similar to a fast food restaurant, but occasionally slow. During our recent takeout experience on a quiet Sunday, we ordered $56 worth of food using a coupon from the newspaper that had no exclusions for weekends. However, Santiago, the manager for the day in the absence of Jesse, the regular manager, informed us that the coupon could not be used on weekends. Despite calmly questioning this inconsistency, Santiago was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation. We ended up paying anyways due to time constraints, but upon arriving home, we discover...

There were five of us dining at the restaurant. The majority of the meals were good, but the tropical salad had canned pineapple and tasted odd. Aside from that, everything else was enjoyable.

The food was mediocre, it wasn't anything special. The Burritos and Enchiladas were drowned in sauce, which diminished the flavor. The shredded chicken in the Enchiladas was tasteless.
