I was a bit surprised that this place gets some bad reviews here. in my opinion, this is not really fair. when eating at such a place you also have to consider the relevance of the restaurant. in a city like swimming baths...where the price of an average meal in a restaurant is about 30 euro without drinks, you cannot negotiate about this place. eating is fresh and the price is really good. read the bad reviews people not to mention that they pay a average here of 8 euro per meal. it is like a snack to compare with a michelin restaurant. in the center of bathing there is almost no place where you can eat a fresh meal at this price. concerning the waitress of the tempos, we must have met some...
We went to lotus for dinner as it was located just behind the hotel we were staying at. The food was average, but the host was generally unpleasant and rude with kids. She is herself an Asian, but seemed racist. She actually denied us entry...to her cafe on the last day of our trip but at the same time we saw some foreigners going in. Given the host behaviour, food quality and ambience, would strictly not recommend this place. A good restaurant in Baden Baden we loved for Chinese and Thai food was MyLyn- highly recommended both for presentation and taste.
It was well past the usual dinner time in Europe when we were searching for a place to have our dinner at Baden Baden . And we thought we were lucky to find this one open and full of diners . Not an usual choice...to have Chinese in Germany but the place was so good that we came back the next day ! It's simple and the food served was good in quantity as well as taste and quality . A no frills restaurant with lovely helpful staff. Felt quite at home.
It's not 3 star Michelin, but the food is really good and prices are cheap beyond reason. It's a nice place to go when you get fed up with all the Badische Kuche and fancy places in Baden Baden. Service is great. I remember a...time when I was short on cash and they just let me go without paying the full amount. Now where do they do that anymore? Great people, great place!

Truly awful food. Not authentic at all. This restaurant is owned by Vietnamese with a Vietnamese chef. Whilst prices are relatively cheap compared to other local German restaurants, the quality of the food is bad, bad, bad. And as one previous reviewer posted, rude owners...who do not even speak Chinese either. My advice is to pass this one by. Not worth bothering with.
Had a good Spargel (white asparagus) soup and tried both the beef and pork sausages with sauerkraut which were both ok. Priced a bit high probably due to the touristy location and atmosphere. service people were looking tired (we did come in late so was...understandable). Avoid apple strudel, you can get a better one at any bakery or caffe.

We ordered chicken fried rice and vegetables fried rice and drinks the price is responsible and not expensive. The fried rice was good. The waiter looks like tired and serious but she is a hardworking person. We had our dinner around 9:00PM.
