I love this place, but my husband does not. Their summer rolls and veggie pho are to die for!! But my husband's calamari was very greasy (and very small portion for the price), and he did not like the tamarind seafood dish at all. He does obsess over their calamari dipping sauce, though. The calamari used to be so much better--bigger portions and less greasy. Not sure why they changed it. Please note that in these photos we had already eaten one of the summer roll
I’m really disappointed. I've been eager to visit this restaurant for quite some time, so I decided to stop by today. However, I found it completely empty. I tried calling multiple times but didn’t get any response, so I assumed they were just busy. Today is Wednesday, and I drove all the way here only to discover that they are definitely closed. It's currently 5:14 p.m., which feels quite strange. I hope everything is okay, as this situation seems unusual.
The customer service here is the worst I've ever experienced! They consistently get my takeout order wrong and refuse to fix their mistakes. The only way to get a refund is to bring the food back to them, which is incredibly frustrating. Their phone staff is rude and even hangs up on you repeatedly. Honestly, it’s just not worth the hassle to dine here when there are plenty of other Vietnamese restaurants nearby.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of vegetarian options. I tried the crispy salt and pepper tofu based on the server's recommendation. It was served with a small portion of rice and a mix of fresh, crunchy vegetables that were lightly seasoned with oil and salt. I truly can't comprehend how anyone could dine at this restaurant—it's completely revolting. A friend of mine went there to help with cleaning, and she mentioned that she spotted cockroaches everywhere, including in the fridge and food containers. She even shared the photos she took. To add insult to injury, the new owner hasn't compensated her for the effort she put into cleaning that filthy place.
Steer clear of this restaurant! The staff were incredibly rude. It's run by a couple who don't speak much English. When my friend asked for an alcoholic drink, they kept insisting on seeing his ID, despite him being 22 and showing them a state-issued ID. After the server took his ID inside and came back a minute later, we tried the vegetable spring rolls, which were okay, and then left.
DO NOT GO HERE. The waiters are very rude. It is a couple who run the business and they barely know any english. My friend ordered alcohol and they kept asking him for his ID even though he is 22 and showed a state ID. The first time she took his IDinside and came back a minute later. It's definitely one of those hidden gems. The flavor was enjoyable, but the Bun Bo Hue was far from the authentic version.
