Lotus Hot Pot Grill

I have been frequenting this establishment since they first opened, and it continues to be a great place to socialize with friends and family. They recently updated their menu with a greater variety of options, including Korean BBQ. The portions in the combo meals are generous - even with a group of six people, we still had leftovers to take home. While it is not all-you-can-eat, the price for the combo option can be more affordable compared to other similar places when dining with a group. Unfortunately, they do not offer desserts and have discontinued their self-serve sauce station. During my visit, they seemed to be understaffed as the service was a bit lacking - we had to wait for staff...

Overall a really solid hot pot place. Meats were fresh, tender from super thin cuts, and high quality (not to mention massive portions), though I found the beef/pork/lamb offerings stronger than the seafood options, unsurprising given KC’s lack of nearby large bodies of waterImportantly, I loved the Tom yum and herb broths, which were VERY flavorful (highlight of this place for me) but a bit on the salty and greasy side. The sauces were definitely on the heavy side and too salty, requiring a substantial bit of dilution, and still culminating in a lot of thirst after.

This was out first time having a Hot pot and what an experience! Lotus Hot Pot Grill gave us a great experience with awesome customer service and amazing food. I had the Spicy House special broth and my husband had the herbal. We shared the seafood combo and the vegetable combo. So much food for great prices and with our dietary needs we were both were satisfied and full.

My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The food was not worth the price, and the service was terrible. After our order was taken, we hardly saw our waitress again. There were no refills on drinks, we had to ask for the check, and no one was knowledgeable about the menu. Save your money and dine elsewhere. When we left, they were short-staffed, but at least they had a sense of humor about it. Even though only one person was working the front of the house, the wait was minimal and he took the time to explain how everything worked and answer all of my questions happily. A great place to visit when you're tired of the same old routine.

they may be short staffed but we were serviced quickly. we’ve only been to one other hot pot (in Orlando) and we really preferred their broth over that one. the spicy one was ACTUALLY spicy and the crab rangoons were soo good and pretty large portion for like $5. this place is only 15 mins from downtown kc and wasn’t a bad drive.

The restaurant is excellent, clean, and well-managed even when short-staffed. I highly recommend it for those looking to explore new flavors and cooking techniques. I ordered the crumbled broth, which was not too spicy, as well as the champ and calamari with pho noodles. Everything was delicious, and the portions were generous.

The male server is really good at serving us! They were short staffed but still fast service. We love the hot pot and the bbq of course! i’m more surprise that their restrooms are very clean too! Lol

Delicious and a great experience grilling your own food, picking your own sides and sauces. Can not wait to go back
