Lou Dawg's Southern Bbq North Bay

Two of six in our party were sick (it wasn’t very bad food poisoning, but still vomiting sick). The brisket was not seasoned, clearly not dry rubbed and no fat trimmed off. Southern fried chicken was well prepared but tasteless. Mac and cheese tasted like raw macaroni with no cheese. Mac and cheese spring rolls were actually egg rolls and dough was half raw. Corn bread was very good. Music was loud so couldn’t have a conversation- they should have asked if we wanted back room and warned of music coming on. Don’t expect anything close to authentic southern BBQ.

I think Lou Dawgs is a North Bay gem. Some of the best selection of Ontario Craft Beer on tap. Fantastic live music and entertainment. Love Wednesday nights with Birds of a Feather. The fried chicken sandwich, and chicken and waffles is a favourite. We normally eat the sandwichs or wraps as the BBQ platters we have tried can be a bit dry. Their cornbread is to die for. Love coming by or ordering!

Entered the restaurant to some local live music which was nice to hear. Can't say for certain if their meat selection is smoked on-site, but I've had more tender brisket and ribs elsewhere. A disappointment was serving processed cheese slices with the Triple grilled cheese and brisket sandwich (not listed in Google's dish selection). Atmosphere is nice and staff was friendly.

From the outside doesn’t look like much but once you’re in, the atmosphere was welcoming, clean and the waitresses were so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. Good portions and tasty. Great value as well!! Will recommend to friends!!

This place had great food and the atmosphere is perfect! The price is right and on the Friday night they had live music! Will definitely be back!
