Loud American Roadhouse

During low season Sturgis stayed here for lunch. The place wasn't busy. We were greeted as soon as we came in and said we should sit where we liked each other. Our waitress was quick to drink and order for lunch and was very nice. Not from the area, I was told that the steak tips are a regional favorite in these parts, so I wanted to try. They were really very good, although I really can't compare them with something since I never had them. My wife had a crispy chicken package that was also very good.

Really cool place. Great food, fast and friendly staff plus reasonable pricing. The group I was with ordered an appetizer sampler and it was delicious. We also ordered the salmon, steak tips and smashed potatoes. All were awesome. Our only issue was we ordered a **** mary that wasn't very good but the manager took care of it right away and the overall experience was really great!!

Good food if not a little expensive. I got the legendary Steak tips and Smash Browns; the steak tips were on average too good, but not legendary; the Smash Browns were phenomenal, definitely getting them. The service was friendly and quite fast, but we were on a week night in low season, so that is likely to be expected. Overall, it was a solid choice, but nothing spectacular.

Super brilliant staff that was very nice and made me a normal feeling, even though I just got through. The terrace is great for dogs. The onion rings were great. Would definitely come back here on future trips.

Good meal and ultimate grill cheese was a lot. Fortunately, I shared it with hubby. Poppers were good and not too overwhelming with bacon.
