We visited Low Gap Cafe for dinner during a stay at Buffalo Outdoor Center. The food was great and they have a nice variety. They even have several vegetarian options. Our table had spinach artichoke dip, cheddar biscuits, chicken carbonara, lamb, steak and a chicken and rice dish. We also ended the meal with the mascarpone cake; which was absolutely delightful. All the food was wonderful. The portions were very generous. One note this is the same Low Gap Cafe as the original spot just a new location. The elephant in the room is that this place was a bit hard to find. 603 AR-7, Jasper, AR. If you use this address in your GPS you’ll get there. If you don’t, then you’re on your own ; The food was amazing. I ordered the Scallops in Mango Curry w Saffron Rice, my spouse got the Mac Cheese and a side of Slaw. The Scallops were done to perfection, which, if you’ve ever cooked them at home, is no mean feat. The Mango Curry was delicious; the Saffron Rice just the right level of savory. Was really looking forward to a meal at the new location, after a day of viewing the fall leaves. Went to the restaurant at about 2 pm. Walked in and stood at the hostess stand for several minutes. There were two waitresses working in the front. No welcome, no be with you in a minute nothing. It seemed that dirty dishes were more important than us. Left without eating. Awesome place! We ordered Red Snapper and Lamb Chops and everything was absolutely delicious!!! Staff was very friendly and accommodating, and chef Nick came to check on us multiple times to make sure everything was to our liking.
