I can't understand the other reviews, this place was terrible. The dinner here cost around twice as much as our others in Oberstdorf (a "treat" at the end of our stay) and was the worst food. The rough greyish lumps of tuna "sashimi" were very tough and difficult to cut and didn't taste of much, the bread accompanying the tiny oversweet soup was somewhat stale, like it had been sliced that morning and left out all day, the only vegetarian main was a weird combination of "oriental couscous" and "wok vegetables" and was pretty boring. And as for the very expensive "pink roast beef with mushroom gnocchi", the sauce was almost inedibly salty, the gnocchi were tough, the mushrooms were grey and s...

Charming hotel, newly renovated with very comfortable rooms. Peter Strauss, owner and chef, sent us off with a bottle of white wine from his Rhineland vineyard. We left some valuables in the room safe and he arranged to mail it to us. Excellent breakfast with eggs to order and honey from the hive. Parking costs but is convenient. Located in a pedestrianized area is good, but trucks come roaring in from early morning until 10 am to load and unload bottles and supplies, heavy diesel engines clattering away. Otherwise, excellent stay.

The entire staff from the chefs to the servers was amazing! We were a group of people staying at the hotel and dined for many meals. They took care of every need we could think off. We ate at both resturants and can say possibly the best in town! Charming decor really puts you in the bavarian spirt. Excellent time!

We've eaten here a number of times over the years and it's always been good. Check the menu first, make sure they have what you like and book, they always seem to be full. Great atmosphere often with large groups. Not expensive, and very nice foodHighly recommended. Reserva una mesa ahora

The food is great. The staff are proficient. No complaints but we do prefer the traditional Bavarian feel that comes with a lot of the restaurants in Oberstdorf. This is upscale dining by Oberstdorf standards.

Food was excellent here, I would not be able to eat that well 3 courses for 46 Euro back home in Belgium. Great combinations of flavors, and well presented. Professional service as well.

Modern bavarian style and cooking . Great place to eat. Service had been friendly and swift. The tables are a bit close together but we got a table for four without reservation.

Good food, nice menu and outdoor seating. Classic German fare and fairly good service. Always busy in the summer with large groups, families, etc.

spent light lunch there and enjoyed the stay. Mainly the food was fresh prepared and tasty. The drinks were classy and came quick.
