IN the middle of Baesweiler, in the ancient city castle, there is a newly opened bistro-style restaurant. Very pleasant and modern environnement within old walls, perfect combination. And a superbe kitchen. Thourgh service lacks a little bit of attention, one feels warmly welcome. Try the...shrimps or the Artichokes as starters, delicious. The main courses are freshly prepared and nicely decorated. The Ritterpieß knights' kebab) is served with three different sauces, I can highly recommend. The portions are not too big, so you will probably need a starter or two, if you are very hungry, but still reasonable. The chef is defintely very experience in fine cuisine. Wine ilsts is short and I rather recommend to stay with the fresh draught beer. In summer they have a beautiful alfresco patio area. Small jewel in the heart of Baesweiler, very enjoyable

Attended a family wedding reception here. Food was buffet, excellent selection and could not be faulted. Great waiting staff service throughout the day.
