l'R Marin - Reservar una mesa

After walking the full length of the promenade we were ready for lunch, this looked like where the locals dined and we were correct. We were shown a window table with a good view of the harbour and had the menu with a 1/2 litre of Sauvignon Blanc. 3 excellent courses and wine with a bill of under €50 which for Les Sables seemed very reasonable and friendly service, highly recommended especially for the fish main course.

We had a delicious 3 course set menu lunch with drinks here for £36 for two, which represented excellent value for money. The food was exceptional and the service really good. The lady at the front of house spoke enough English to get you by. There are many eateries in this area so we're pleased we chose this. We would definitely eat here again and would have no hesitation in recommending here as well.

We loved this restaurant. Everything about it – the location, the hosts, the welcome, the friendliness, the atmosphere and especially the delicious food. Madam was fantastic, enthusiast and extremely helpful. As were the rest of the team. And the food was superb, main courses of prawns (big! and steak – nom nom delicious We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending L’R Marin.

We visited L'R Marin on the busiest weekend of the yaer, during The Vendee Globe . The service was very good and as it is in the port we all had fish. Food was very good and although the place was pretty small and busy it had a nice atmosphere and , most importantly, the food was delicious.

Family run restaurant, generous portions of simple food at a reasonable price , service and welcome excellent and with a smile and humour from Madam. Would visit again
