Lucca - Reserva de mesa

We have previously eaten at Lucca a number of times and always been very impressed. This time was very different, for a number of reasons. Prices have gone up £6.30 for an Aperol Spritz cocktail is ridiculous considering the price in central London is below £6. Worse than that, both were made using slightly flat Prosecco! Prawn/Calamari starter had only two prawns and was overwhelmed by the calamari it was also pretty bland. Mussels starter tasted really odd. Pizza main course and desert were really good as usual. I recently dined at Lucca Enoteca for the first time, and it definitely won't be my last. I took my sister there for a birthday lunch on Saturday, January 2nd, and we immediately felt at ease in the charming atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, and there was a diverse crowd of happy customers dining there, including couples, young families, and larger groups. The service was efficient but not rushed, and the food exceeded my expectations. The mushroom starter was delightful, and the pizza was the best I've ever had! I highly recommend Lucca Enoteca to all diners, especially those who love pizza.

We happened to know the people at the table next to us, who were seated before us. However, we received our starters before them (they asked if we had pre-ordered). We observed that there was a significant delay between the first main dish being served and the last person receiving their meal, even though there were only 7 people in their party. This was not ideal. Overall, we were not impressed enough to return to this restaurant. It is unfortunate, as we prefer to support independent businesses, but we will stick to the Mistley Thorn in the future.

Excellent meal good starter plate of cold meats and bread and then pasta and pizza of the day for our party of 4. Good service and at the end of meal the staff still had time to let us have quick inspection and talk through the workings of the wood burning oven. All made for enjoyable evening. Once again a delicious meal at Lucca. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Lucca is cosy and welcoming, it is unpretentious yet the standard of food is consistently excellent. It is always a pleasure to dine at this restaurant, whether with my partner, friends or my young daughter, I always come away satisfied and looking forward to the next visit.

Every time we visit Lucca, we are greeted by the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. The extensive selection of freshly made Italian dishes is absolutely fantastic. Even though the restaurant is typically bustling with activity, the staff always make an effort to take care of us and ensure that we have everything we need.

We had a great time there as always this is our favourite restaurant and has been for several years! The atmosphere was lively and fun and the staff gave us a warm welcome. The service was particularly good on Saturday even though it was really busy and the food was great as always, simple but delicious thank you Lucca!

We wanted to stop off for dinner before getting the night ferry from Harwich, Lucca was perfect for us great range of pizza and wines. Staff very lovely. Glad we had booked as it was very busy on a Saturday night.

Great venue, great food, attentive staff. Very reasonable prices. Can’t really fault it. The Rigatoni with sausage and the seafood spaghetti were both excellent. Tiramisu ticked the boxes. A real gem of a place.
