l'uccellino - Reserva de mesa

Delicious Food and Cosy Atmosphere. <br/ <br/ We visited L'Uccellino before attending a movie at The Sun Theatre. The waiter was great. She managed to serve the entire restaurant and at a great speed too. <br/ <br/ We enjoyed The Saganaki a very big standout. We also enjoyed the SLOW Cooked Beef Ragu Gnocchi. The Gnocchi tasted very home made and delicious. Absolutely loved that. <br/ <br/ We finished off with some Tiramisu which was also quite good. Slightly different to the traditional one that I would have thought at an Italian Restaurant. It was more like a cake sort of dish, but it was still delicious.

L'Uccellino has a good atmosphere, service and food. We ordered the chicken calzone and veal scallopini (specials board), of course with wine. The calzone was substantial in size and was really delicious, well-balanced with the feta. The veal special was very creamy with tender slow cooked meat. Went well to order the two dishes as I was sharing. The only thing that bugged us was the cramped spaces in the restaurant.

Love this place! Favourites include spaghetti carbonara, quatro fungi pizza and the tiramisu. Very thin and crispy pizzas with fresh toppings. The pastas are delicious and flavours are amazing, never lacklustre or overwhelming as I’ve found with many other Italian restaurants. I’ve tried most of the desserts, from tiramisu to ice cream to the Nutella calzone, really can’t go wrong with any of the desserts.

Love this place.  Looks cosy.  Is cosy.  The second you walk in the beautiful food fragrances make you feel like you're actually in Italy.  Very friendly and attentive staff.  The Quattro Funghi pizza.... WOW.  That flavour is outstanding.  The truffle oil involvement made it soooo good, and helped to make the flavour last.  I could taste that yummy pizza long after I'd left the restaurant.  Sooooooo good! So happy to stumble across this lovely cosy restaurant after a disappointing experience at 2 of the Mexican places close by (one had pre-mix margaritas and the other smelt like pee) We had gluten free garlic bread, chicken skewers and spaghetti Bolognese. Everything was perfect and the service was amazing. A almost disastrous evening turned around!

Dropped in last night. No booking. Lucky to get table. Quickly full. Prompt service! My friend had delicious spag marinara ...I tried! Yum! I had great pizza with pear and prosciutto! Completely recommended!

Great service and pizza came out pretty quick. Pumpkin pizza was good however they over did it with the rocket. Nutella pizza wasnt worth the price considering it was the size of my hand.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this place. Excellent service from our charming waiter. Food was delicious, and surprisingly great value for money.
