Lucy's Cafe and Catering

Worst meal ever, anywhere. Lucy's used to be a delightful, quirky little place with delicious homemade Italian fare. On the evening we were there, even walking in the door, we were tempted to leave before we even sat down because of the strong odour of cigarettes. There was a very yappy dog barking throughout the whole meal. Two very young cooks were in the kitchen, and didn't even know if they could bring bread with no butter in the bread basket. Caesar salad was thick with bright yellow dressing and all four of our dinners were lukewarm and very unappetizing to look at. Went for lunch hoping it would be a good venue for seniors with hearing issues. Boy were we wrong. The place is tiny and the kitchen is in the same room with only a partition. It was so noisy it was almost funny. Lucy was banging the pots and pans and slamming the dishes down. The good news is we all enjoyed our entrees, our server was very attentive and it was reasonably priced. The only suggestions I have are they should fix the soggy house salad and upgrade the bread basket. And most of all quit making such a racket in the kitchen.

This is a small cafe in the front of Lucy's house. Its kind of charming, but in the winter it can be cold and is somewhat cramped. The food is good but not great. To use the washroom one has to exit the restaurant and walk outdoors and enter again out back. We've been several times but not sure we will return. The prices are very reasonable.

Visited at the end of August with our entire family. We sat in the back Giardino to enjoy our meals. Felt like we were in Italy. As always, Lucy was a great host, and cooked a fine meal for us all to enjoy. It is always worth the trip to Lucy's

Restaurant is tiny but cozy. Friendly staff including owner. Food was good but nothing special, Portions were modest. Will not return.
