Luna Sea Fish House

My initial visit left a positive impression, but my second experience was thoroughly disappointing. Despite ordering the same crab dish, the second time was a letdown—it was small, skinny, and dry (size of frog) compared to the first, which was big and juicy. Adding to the disappointment, I lacked proper utensils for eating crab, and when requested, they brought a regular fork. Despite sharing the dish with a friend, they didn't provide an additional plate to ease the crab dismantling. To exacerbate matters, the French fries appeared overcooked and dark, indicating the use of stale oil. On a positive note, the grilled oysters were satisfactory. Really really excellent! We had cod fish and chips, crab cakes, and a mixed platter with prawns, scallops and halibut. All of it was fresh and absolutely delicious. The coleslaw was nothing to note but the tartar sauce was bomb. It was a little confusing to figure out if you could eat inside (you can) and whether the entrance was in the front or back (both). The parking was mostly street parking. Great crab cakes and fantastic halibut and chips. Everything was fresh and the ambience is everything you want in a no-frills fish house. Our dinner was an excellent way to round out a wonderful trip to the coast!
