Lunas South Shore, League City really disappointed me tonight. I was there with a good friend with nachos as we always do and enjoy myself until.... I ordered the children to go Fajita chicken quesadillas for my child. I asked if chips and salsa came with him what they usually do and IVAN told me no. Hmm, I was actually stunned that for the first time in 7 years the chips and salsa were not included here. I asked for some and he chose me $4.50 for a pint of red salsa and $4.95 for a pint of evil green sauce. First of all, why should I need a whole pinch of sauces for a little child's meal? Besides, a drink should come with me never receiving. When I saw the charges, I immediately told IVAN that he ripped me off, and I didn't want to pay and he had to take it off. I was angry! My bill with these fees was $21.91 for a KIDS MEAL!!! Once the charges were taken off and he took the order, there were no chips in there. If IVAN had any kind of guest service in court or knowledge at all, he should have told me that he was able to bag the remaining chips we had before us and brought a small cup for the full dish of red salsa that had remained. I had to ask the bus. IVAN would have got at least one $10 tip from me, but since he tried to rip me off, he got $2 for that bill. It was just a $11 bill. I also gave him another $5 tip for my part of the poster bill. I don't think he deserved it, but I just can't stiff a restaurant person. I know the industry inside and outside and I know it's a tough gig. I don't know anyone, but I am personally so sick of terrible service in this area. I assume it must do with a huge lack of guest service training. Hey IVAN, maybe if you really smile and have a kind of personality, you would make better tips! If you're here next time, we'll go.
We live in San Antonio, home to a ton of Tex Mex places, but we stumbled upon Luna's on a recent trip to the outlet mall in Texas City. I'm giving it 5 stars for three simple factors: 1. Atmosphere: It's got that vintage old-school feel to it. Comfy booths, nice wood interior and its got just the right amount of lighting. 2. Service: It was beyond great. Those servers work hard and they were very attentive even though there was a pretty big crowd. 3. I thought the food was excellent and had good portion sizes. Just my opinion, but there aren't a lot of ways to really mess up most Tex-Mex, unless its something complicated like Chile Rellenos. With that said, my Acapulco Plate and my wife's fajita chicken and shrimp were delicious. The grilled veggies put this way over. I don't know what they do different, but it just tasted better than most we've had. I can't stress enough how happy we were to find Luna's and we're already saving room for the next time ! I just picked up my statement, it was wrong after I left and had to come all the way back I called the restaurant and specifically told them what I wanted, it brought back when he continued to say that it should be with mais tortillas and I said so they tell me that they can?t make them with flour tortillas and he said yes, I think we have to throw these away? I was very rude and will not come back and say so disappointing to my family friends? very restless! I wanted to take the tip I left, but I left my cool and just that bad review?
10 stars if possible! The food was spot on delicious and fresh. The customer service was unbelievably out of this world. Our waitress Susana was so polite and attentive. Omg give this young lady deserves some serious recognition. The raspberry tea here is a must. The green salsa is very creamy and the chips warm.
