We saw this relatively unassuming place on St. Joseph one day and decided to give it a go. In essence this place has a great menu of Sandwiches that are very clearly made from quality ingredients, including their delicious, in-house buns and assortment of sides. If I had to describe what they're doing to friends, I'd say this place if what OCCO would be if it tried to create its own healthy sandwich shop (and that's coming from a huge fan of that establishment!) I've been wanting to try this place since it opened up, and today was MY day. My only regret is not trying it sooner.I was welcomed by a young lady at the cash who explained the menu, and pointed the most popular items. Decided to make it a True LunchBox and add a side, a drink and cookie doe. These new locally owned restaurants popping up in Orleans are giving many of the more established ones in downtown Ottawa a run for their money.Essentially a tiny lunch counter with a couple of tables for dine-in located near the mall on St.Joseph's, while the place might be small the quality of the food and the value is huge.We had 'The Summer Dress' and the 'P.A. The place is located in an old house there's only a wooden sign so it's a bit hard to find at night but well worth the effort and there's free parking too ! The staff is super friendly and sandwiches are prepared in front of you. The menu is pretty vast and there's a kid section too. It's too bad we only find this restaurant on our last night in town because i'm sure we would have eaten here more than once. The P.H.D was excellent so was my carrot spicy soup. Bonus point you can play Tony Hawk on their N64 while waiting for your sandwiches. I'll make sure to make the detour here next time when visiting Ottawa !

My husband and I just devoured our first ever Lunchbox sandwiches and they were FANTASTIC!!! Too bad are Lunchboxes are now empty because we would love a refill! I will definitely be going back to pick us up more of their great food! Very fresh, delicious ingredients were used and we LOVED the buns! Soooo good! Mmmmm!!! The three people working there were very friendly and helpful as well. Great job and we hope the Lunchbox is around for many years to come! Visited this place on someone else's high recommendation and was not disappointed. Excellent sandwiches and salads and they have soup coming on their fall/winter menu as well. Service is very friendly and genuine. Will definitely eat there again (and again...).

After reading reviews online, I've decided to give this place a chance and I've been very satisfied. The sandwiches are very fresh and good. The service was very quick also. There was a lot of people coming in to order. They also do catering.

Perfect for a lunch date or to pick up tomorrow's lunch! The sandwiches are packed full making them perfectly filling. The hearty soup is perfect for a chilly fall day.

The staff are extremely helpful and willing to accommodate the menu according to your preferences. The food is tasty and inexpensive. It is a great spot for lunch.

Wow. The food was fresh and amazing. I as the The Summer Dress with the dill potato salad. Delicious. Great great service. Cool concept! Will be back for sure!!
