I completely missed the sign on the front street and only noticed it as I was leaving. I was directed to a side (red) door, which made me feel like something shady was about to happen. We were excited to try this Portuguese Seafood restaurant. I ordered the stuffed lobster. The stuffing was fine, but the lobster was totally rotten! It was black with dried up rotten meat and large holes in the crumbling shell. It looked like lobster cancer. The owner apologized but said that it happens when you keep the lobsters in the refrigerator for a few days. Really?? The owner said, We got lobsters fresh on Thursday, and we kept them in the refrigerator since then. Well, tonight is Sunday 3.5 days later! I wanted to surprise my wife for dinner, so I decided to try a new restaurant. I discovered Lusitania here on Yelp being that I was in the mood for paella, and this place didn't disappoint. The paella was delicious and plentiful, especially with their house sangria. Our server informed me that she made the sangria as she poured me a nice glassful. We had their delicious fried calamari as an appetizer, but their paella was so delicious and plentiful, we wound up taking home a nice size take out bag. From the outside there is nothing special. That's because the great stuff- the service and the food is all on the inside!Lusitania is a family run restaurant serving authéntic Portugese dishes.The wait staff is knowledgeable and attentive. The food is the star. Meals start with bread and butter. Main portions are generous so be sure to share the appetizers. The paella valenciana had generous portions of lobster, shrimp, clams and sausage amidst an olla of tasty rice. The stuffed filet of sole was artfully plated and accompanied by rice and fries. The flan was delicious. Street parking is available.

It was ok, nothing to Bragg about. Service was not very good, we had to ask for some water. Server brought it then disappeared. Thier Skirt steak was ok, served on a lava rock which burned one side of the steak. The paella was good. They give you a healthy amount.The place looks old and not the cleanest. I had to use the restroom. Had to walk through a dirty broom closet and across the bar to get to the restroom. Could have been a little cleaner.I wouldn't go back.Parking: They have a parking lot across the street. Holds about 10 cars.
The food at this restaurant is top-notch, especially the sausage and the clams cooked in olive oil, garlic, and parsley. The portions are generous, but the quality justifies the price. I will definitely order from here again when I am craving seafood. The mussels and clams are particularly outstanding, with very fresh seafood being served.
I had Portuguese and Italian food catered by Lusitania this past Sunday for my Bridal Shower and all 70 of my guests were raving about the delicious food. As always, the take out experience is just as great as dining in. Thank you thank you thank you!Food: 5/5
I absolutely adore the marinated shrimp and clams dish at this restaurant, it's what keeps me coming back time and time again! The steak on a sizzling hot stone is also a must-try. These delicious dishes are not to be missed!
