Today I order the starter and the daily special so that I can have lunch (relatively) quickly, this is (normally) the principle of daily specials. The entrance arrives, very good. 15 minutes after finishing I ask about the dish, “It’s coming”. After 20 minutes I left. And the irony: the person at the reception (blue blazer, green sweater) explains to me without batting an eyelid that since I had the starter I can wait for the main course! The Lyric is no longer what it was, to be avoided from now on!
We went to dinner at Lyrique after the last OSR concert. We were very well received by the room manager, who quickly found us a table despite the large crowd and we were quickly served. The gnocchi are delicious and so is the tarte Tatin. While a little extra staff would be welcome during such evenings, the very welcoming and attentive staff were able to make the difference. What a pleasant surprise after years of crossing the desert. We will definitely return soon!
Friday March 1. A quarter of an hour to get a card. Choice: a tartare and a sauerkraut. Correct tartare. Red wine served by pouring it over the base of the glass. The waiter apologizes but doesn't come back to wipe. Bland sauerkraut with Vaudois sausage?? and bacon. No Alsatian meat, is a revisited sauerkraut perfect? This kind of dish cannot be revisited. And finally, error in giving change. I won't go back there.
