We arrive at 5:40 pm to catch the end of their happy hour and ordered drinks several minutes later we didn't get seen again until after 6:00 pm and asked if they would honor it since we were waiting, the waitress said no, that's doubtful but the drink orders made the cutoff time. First Experience at Machete Tequila Tacos. My co-worker ordered take out for us. We ordered 15 tacos to go. One co-worker did not want onions which was 4 taco of the 15. She went to pick up the tacos and none of them had onions nor cilantro and they gave us 2 lime wedges for 15 TACOS. When she asked the kid (5 '3 looked like he was barely 20) who was standing around the to go table if she could get some onions and cilantro for the 11 tacos who wanted it and has it in the picture on the menu. He went back to the kitchen and came back with a little portion cup with chopped up onions and cilantro. When she mention to the kid this portion of cilantro and onion is for 11 tacos. I was stoked to try Machete T&T as I’m on the hunt for Denver’s best taco. Sadly this wasn’t it. The flavors were okay, the queso was okay, and the guacamole was not guacamoling. That’s about it. I left slightly disappointed after seeing “best tacos in Denver”, this was not it. The ambiance and music was very whitewashed, like a club that serves mid tacos. Might be a great spot to catch a game!Not hating on this place, it has potential! I hope to see them find their groove as they settle into the neighborhood.
Tacos were fine, not great. Drinks were good. Patio is nice. Tacos are pretty over priced. But worst of all, I’m sick of businesses like this that are local chains putting an equitable pay tax on the customer. The minimum wage was raised for you to pay your employees better, not to pass it on to us. If you were a small standalone shop maybe, but you have something like 4 locations. Just reeks of greedy ownership and rubs me the wrong way.

Large variety of tacos. Tried the shrimp, chicken, and lobster tacos. All were very good. They're street taco size, but they offer a big bite. I had 5 total, but was satisfied after eating 3. Took 2 home.Parking: Neighborhood street parking. We got lucky and found a close spot big enough on the street for our suburban to fit.
100% false advertisement to have this sign out on Cinco De Mayo if you are not honoring it. Even worse when we brought it up and you didn’t remove the sign. Go to Mezcal a couple blocks down. Great food, friendlier waiters, and an actual happy hour that they are honoring even if it’s Cinco De Mayo.
Really good tacos and the queso fundido was on point. My favorite taco of the three was the Arrachera Chile Arellano. Definitely a must have. The staff were great. Nice outside seating area while you wait.
Great Spot, Large Patio, Good Menu Selection, and Lots of Different Tequilas. Friendly Staff, Street Parking There So Can Be A Pain, But Worth The Hunt, Tacos Are Delicious.

Such a nice time we had last week. The food was good was so good and our server recommended this bomb pineapple tequila they make in house. Love coming here! ?
Langosta and tinga taco were outstanding. You have to get the lobster tacos. Queso fundido is also incredible.Food: 5/5
