Mack’s Hot Chicken

My mother-in-law wanted hot chicken for her 75th birthday dinner, so I decided to try out Mack's for the first time. I called ahead and the person who answered was very helpful, letting me pre-order what I needed. They informed me that everything is made to order and would take approximately 30 minutes. When I arrived, my order wasn't quite ready but they kindly offered for me to wait in my car while they brought it out to me. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. Just a heads up, the hot chicken is really hot so be prepared! We tried both medium and hot and both were excellent. We will definitely be returning to support this little restaurant again.

I had visited badly at two earlier places and enjoyed the huh. it was to be in smyrna today and to eat by lunch. their website earlier checked on the day to check when they opened and saw that they opened at 11 o'clock on Wednesday. I have around 11 and not a single person or a vehicle. sign on the door says it opens at 11. if the hours have changed an update to the website would be helpful. edit my previous submission. I was not aware that the greener of Mack’s passed and certainly understand why the restaurant was closed. I'm sorry for her loss.

Mack's is unrivaled when it comes to hot chicken. A local co-worker recommended it to me over another hot chicken joint and I am so grateful she did. The flavors are phenomenal, with just the right amount of heat that actually enhances the taste rather than overwhelming it. I tried their fried okra and hot catfish and I am completely sold. I am willing to drive from West Nashville, passing by other famous hot chicken places like Helen's, Hattie's, and Prince's, just to dine at Mack's.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! It was only my second time dining here, but the family who runs it works incredibly hard and prepares the food with great skill. There may be a wait at times, but it is definitely worth it. Morgan is incredibly kind and the rest of the family is just as friendly. I can't wait to see how this restaurant grows in the future! On my way back to Texas, I stopped for some hot chicken, and it was fantastic! The entire meal was excellent and cooked to perfection. The fried okra, fried pickles, and hot chicken platters were particularly delicious. The staff was also very friendly. I highly recommend this place!

Best whiting in town! Always gives more than enough food and the fish is fried to perfection. Also, the young lady that usually works the front register is always friendly… customer service goes a long way with me and she never misses the mark.
