Madeleine Cafe Bakery

This is a delightful, authentic French café! We visit every year when we are in town. The owner is so very kind and it is wonderful to catch up with him and have a delicious meal, dessert, and café! We've tried practically everything on the menu and you can't make a wrong choice here, except if you forget to order a dessert!!! The crêpes are !!!! There are also French bonbons, soaps, etc., to purchase. It is fabulous to support a small French business!! Merci beaucoup, Steve, et à bientôt!!!

Explored Cedros with a girl friend. Stopped at Madeleine's for lunch. Wanted the La Parisian sandwich but it wasn't on the menu. They made it for me anyway. It was so good and salad was refreshing. Sadly, their French fry machine was broken. Tables are all outside but have umbrellas which is perfect for girls with freckles. Parking was on the street where you can park for 3 hours.

I came here with my boyfriend to get brunch- I ordered a Parisienne omelette and my bf ordered a Californian omelette. We ended up switching because he doesn't like goat cheese, but overall okay. The fries were the best part, crispy and flavorful, and I appreciated the veggies on the side.
