We walked in with a table of 7 australians, with no table reservation whats so ever and the waiter was more then happy to take us in. We were then greeted with the menu and the waiter stayed to help us through the words that we did not understand. He then served us some table bread and olives whilst we waited for our food. For entrees we ordered the prawns, clams and pork. For mains we ordered the chicken and pork and couple of bottles of delicious wine. Everything was cooked on the grill outside and it truely did not disappoint! The staff continued to be attentive all throughout our evening and always made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Ate here on 23rd June. We were walking passed and quickly looked at the menu. Decided to sit down outside. Food was fantastic. Ordered an octopuss salad as a starter. Our mains were veal and the other sea bass. It is grilled beside you. Well cooked. As a dessert we ordered cabore, figs and almonds. When asked what was cabore we were told it was a substitute for chocolate. We decided to go for one. I will never eat chocolate again. It was devine. The owner/manager was a very friendly guy. Making sure all was good with our dinner. This is a great restaurant and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Had a late evening meal after a long day walking and sightseeing. Opted for 1 course each. As there were only 2 fresh fish left we took both red snapper and dorada. We also ordered octupus and a nice bottle of wine at 16€ and 2 beers at 2 each. Finished with another free shot. We were given a free shot before the meal which was a nice touch. Food came with potatoes, was well served and was hot and tasty. Ànother free shot to finish. Great service and a very enjoyable meal. Recommended.
Late evening stroll at Madragoa area in Lisbon and we found this restaurant. The owner was very nice and kept checking up on us to see that everything is all right. We tried our first bottle of Vinho Verde here which was really good but unfortunately cant but the bottle in the regular market. Tried the pork, shrimp and also the beef steak. Real treat for our 3rd (last night) meal in Lisbon. The owner (a fabulous Robert Downey Jnr look alike with matching personality) was very welcoming. The food was fabulous, tapas style, and he actually picked for us, all being wonderful. The service was slow after mains but they were very busy. Iberian black sausage with caramelised onion and apple fabulous favourite Also had Chicken gizzards! again wonderful Would recommend.
If there‘s only one restaurant you should visit in Lisbon, make it this one! Their hospitality is amazing, they are very attentive in the most pleasant way, the location is wonderful, the food is outstanding and so so delicious, and the prices are very good too. The giant prawns are the best we‘ve ever had, but whatever you like, you’ll have difficulties to choose because the entire menu is very intriguing!
We feel so lucky to have stumbled across this great restaurant there were three of us and as it’s our first trip to Portugal we all had different meal choices. The food was perfect, delicious, seasonal and authentic the service professional, helpful and attentive, great wine desserts with flavours and combinations we haven’t had before. Lovely people great experience.
The previous year I'd stopped in for lunch over summer (sun, food, wine—yes), but it being the colder season they're not open at such times. Dinner however, wow! Antonio suggested a dish, picked a wine, and also cheese to end. Couldn't have been better. Bought a friend over here one evening for a sneaky wine too, just perfect! We enjoyed this restaurant so much. Happened on it by accident as the restaurant we had intended on going to was closed the month of August for vacation. The smell captured us as we walked by. The owner was friendly and gave us lots of information on things to see. Great way to start our week in Lisbon.
