THIEVES AND LIARS! I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past never again. I made a reservation to check in 2/15/24 at 3pm. As my plans changed, I called on 2/14/24 at 11:35 a.m. (more than 24 hours prior to check in) to cancel the reservation. I spoke with a woman who gave me her name and a confirmation number and informed me she would cancel the reservation and that I would not be charged. I was in Dallas and could have used the room had I known this hotel was operated by liars, but as I didn 't know that, I stayed with my daughter instead. On 2/19, the hotel charged my card for the night, claiming I canceled with less than 24 hours ' notice. I have the phone records, that is a lie...
Online this place looked very chic. My experience was very different. Upon checkin there was only one person at the desk. It took forever. She seemed new. We were given a room with a King when we booked two queens. I went to the desk and again waited in line. The lady at the desk seemed new because she was on the phone the whole time being walked through how to use the computer. Who leaves a new employee by herself at a hotel on a Saturday night in such a busy area? She claimed she couldn’t change my room. We went back to the room and the door didn’t close properly. The building and rooms look gorgeous and the food on site is very good the only problem I had was that the rooms had some things that were broken such as our remote and one of the lamps. The remote wasn't broken per se. It still worked. It's just it would rattle like something was loose inside of it. Lamp on the other hand was a wiring problem and I was able to get it on with some movement and propping up. All in all the location was great staff was mostly friendly (I tried to ask for a late out the lady told me I'd have to wait till the next shift came in to get approved for that, called back an hour later no problem) Just a couple of little things that would've made this place from good to...
Thank you Beeman staff! I recently resided there from July 9-13th as I was evacuated from my home in Houston after Beryl. The staff were very generous and flexible with me in extending my stay when needed. They were all very empathetic to my situation and very kind. The location is the best since it is essentially across the street from Lifetime and is in walkable distance from Kroger. Couldn't beat that with a stick! Thank you again for having me and allowing me to feel home away from home during a very trying time. Your kindness will not be forgotten, this is my go-to place when I come to Dallas. We really wanted to love this hotel…. The parking situation- sucked especially because it was raining. We walked into our room that was suppose to have a window view, it did…. To another window And the bar downstairs? Very dark and depressing room. Also walls are PAPER THIN. both sides of our room kids screaming, tv blasting and one of the rooms ran the shower 10pm-8am. I don’t understand how that’s possible. We barley got 1 hour of sleep. We’re usually not the type to complain but when you pay that much for a room and get no sleep… that’s crazy. We told the front desk and all they said was sorry about that. I’m sorry but it’s like a 2/10 for me.
Nice hotel in a great location. Nice paintings throughout the hotel. Rooms are ok. I really like the bathroom. Beds are on the hard side really didn't like that but everything else was ok . Nice cool room and keeps you chill in this texas heat. Nice dinning area and bar. Food was good. I had a quesadilla and a long Island ice tea which was good. The pool area is very nice. They have free parking behind the hotel in a garage. It's about a 2 minute walk. That's the downside but nothing major unless it's raining . Definitely will come back
Old hotel that has been sloppily remodeled that sums up this hotel. All veneer with poor bones. Room was musty as were the hallway and the parking situation is a joke. Biggest issue though were the two guys working the front desk. I grew up in Dallas, lived and traveled to most of the other big cities in Texas, and Dallas is easily the most pretentious city in Texas. Two guys at the front desk epitomized this being smug and indignant to the idea they might be in a service industry. Stay else where.
I will never stay here again. The walls at the Beeman are paper-thin. I could clearly hear the people in the adjacent room talking at normal volume levels until all hours of the night.
