Magoo's Pub Eatery

A small bar and restaurant located in downtown Frederick. It was just the place we were looking for while we were strolling downtown. The people were all kind. The staff had great service and the owner was super chatty with those at the bar. The food was definitely a bang for your buck. We had the crabby Jen?s chicken and the crabby Jen?s burger. They were both so tasty and the price was great! They also had a great selection of drinks for a good price. The atmosphere was

Walked in on a Monday afternoon and was immediately questioned as to why I wasn?t at work. I stated I was off and wanted to have a drink. After some back and forth banter the conversation quickly changed to politics and voting processes. When the bartender feels it?s necessary to tell me and my friends that we don?t have as much life experience as her and we don?t know what we are talking about I figured it was time to cash out and never go back.

We had a short-notice group of 14 that descended on Magoo's. They did a magnificent job taking care of us! I ordered the Fried Shrimp starter and was eating shrimp all night! There were more shrimp than I'm used to seeing in a Shrimp entree! The servers were active and attentive but not overbearing. The owner even gave me a complimentary lecture on Irish history. What a great evening!

Usually I write indepth reviews, but this one will be simple. Our bartender was drunk and we noticed rats scurring around in the kitchen. Do not eat here, it's disgusting and the service is awful. I hope they get closed down, Frederick has so much better to offer. We don't need this business staining our city.

My husband and I on a whim stopped by this pub off of Main Street. I am so glad we did. It has a cozy home town feeling. The food is AMAZING!! We are so delighted we have found a place we can more than likely become regulars to. Cheers!
