Maharaja Indian Restaurant

We had takeout, and it was very average. The curries were nice, but small. The Naan were nice, except for the Shai Naan which instead of being packed with fruit and nuts, were plain and doughy with just a few pieces of fruit. The entrees were okay, a bit too greasy, and the meat samosas were tough. The most disappointing thing was the little containers of what we think was Thai Sweet Chili Sauce. Why? Where were the fragrant mint Yoghurt Sauce? The Date and Tamarind Chutney? The Mango Chutney? And to top it off, it's probably the most expensive Indian food in the Redlands.

This place makes exceptional food. They are very very good... the issue is that the price you pay is on the upper end but the takeaway (and dine in as I have had both) is on the small side. For $15+ dollars for each curry I would expect that a curry would feed two people but there tends to be sauce with no to much protein (ie.meat). This place is very very good I cannot stress that... the portioning lets it down... i rated it a 2 as i cannot keep supporting if Im not feed fully (after spending $30+)

Visited this place after having had an excellent curry at the same named venue down at Redland Bay and thought it would be another superb dinner. However, despite ordering the same items we found the curry were nowhere near as good at the Cleveland venue. It is not they that were bad, but merely more runny/watery with a lack of punch. Have heard many people speak good things about this location so perhaps we just visted on an off day.

I really enjoyed this meal, a bit light on the meat - with lots of sauce. Staff were pleasant and service prompt. I was only disappointed when I asked for a container to pack away the left overs at the end. I was charged $1.50 for each container and was not told about this cost beforehand. DoesTakeaways gets changed for containers as well? I'll be going back to the 'Little Indian Restaurant' in Cleveland.. Reserva una mesa ahora

The decor of the restaurant was lovely. The waiter was friendly and attentive. We had the butter chicken and prawn rogan josh. The food was delicious. The only down fall would be how small the portions were. It's $15+ for a curry and they're the tiniest portions I have ever had in an Indian restaurant. Very very overpriced.

We ordered one of the specials for 3 which was more than enough for 4 of us.This isn't authentic Indian food but the westernised version of butter chicken, lamb rogan josh etc. Don't be put off by this comment as it was still really tasty and enjoyed all of the family.A favourite take out for us.

Popped in for a spontaneous meal and was delighted by the quality and fresh flavours of the dishes. The vegetable pilau was delicious and accompanied the lamb curry beautifully. Service was very friendly and helpful. I'll be back to try some of the other tempting dishes

Delicious onion bhaji to start! Followed by a creamy chicken Maharaja Special accompanied wth garlic naan! Highly recommended!.

Fantastic flavors, best curry we've had in Brisbane. Try the pork dopiaza or the beef nisha, they are lovely.
