Mainport Fish and Chips

Came here last night with some friends and the food was incredible!! chicken over rice was AMAZING! i had to order another plate and a chicken sandwich 4 bites into the meal because i knew i wouldn’t regret it! Workers are Very friendly, the place was very clean and welcoming. The customers at night need to learn to treat them better because this place is truly a HIDDEN GEM. This place is an hour away from my house but i can assure you it’s my go-to place for night eats. Prices are also VERY good for the portion sizes!

The majority of my family wanted fried fish and this was our choice. It was definitely worth it! The whiting was perfectly seasoned and the rice was delicious. We also tried the lamb gyro, which was fantastic. The fries were just okay, but not a deal-breaker. Next time, we might opt for the wedges instead. I highly recommend this spot in West Haven. Overall, the food gets a 5 out of 5 rating.

I love the guys that work here!! Great customer service! Great personalities especially Mo and Nudie. I'm sure I messed up the spelling! I love their chicken and lamb over rice. Absolutely amazing. I have also ordered fried chicken and fish from them. Well seasoned, cooked to order and always hits the spot!! Great desserts as well!! My go to spot...especially late night!!!

The staff and owner of this restaurant are extremely friendly and welcoming. Additionally, it is a halal establishment, which is rare in this city. However, the rice was dry and lacked flavor, the fish was average, and the shrimp was disappointing. Overall, I would rate the food a 2 out of 5. Reserva una mesa ahora

Really nasty when they first opened. It was good now the guys that are working there they are really nasty and has a really bad attitude and really nasty food Omg they food is so nasty now I am really sad about it. I wish the lady comes back and fix this please.

I had never visited this restaurant before, but had seen it numerous times while riding the bus. The food was delicious, the man working behind the counter was funny, and we definitely plan to return. Food: 5/5

Go here several times a week and havent had any bad expiriences. The workers are friendly and patient, the food is well made and well portioned for the price. Always happy to see a returning customer.
