Went to this restaurant which is just off the piste, you can ski right up to it. Went inside and sat in the bar area as we only wanted some coffees. The lady at the bar plain ignored me for 10 minutes despite serving other people. I caught her eye on a number of occasions but that was as far as I got. After 10 minutes we left. Outside they have a small ranch which keeps the kids entertained. As I said shocking service

This was a regular ski stop during my week in Kaprun. Tucked a little way down from the top of the highest chairlift, the views are spectacular and the outside area is a lovely sun trap. Food is fairly standard ski fare but well prepared and served with a smile. Be aware the hot chocolate is both very addictive and very fattening !!
Today we climbed high and directed Maiskogel Alm, it was a hard hike and we were really craved for a beer.... It was closed season — despite closed, we met with Helmut (owner). He is a unique and funny man who gave us an absolute remarkable memory. Thank you. Helmut will be back....
