When we left the castle, a little patisserie was involved. The house was rebelishing. Two simple cakes, a chocolate flash and a Gargantua. A delight!The lightning, with its very black glazing, makes fear a very high taste. Not at all, the whole thing is fine. The inner cream is delicate and balanced. As for the gargantua, it is a delicious chocolate cake, with meringue and a chocolate cream with just perfect lightness and accuracy. The welcome is serious, but with a bigger smile and a little more heat, it would be perfect. I give 5 stars for the gustative experience, certainly limited but perfect; Reasonable prices.
These are many little wonders that this tea room offers us (moreover tea is very good!). and if the name of rabelais reminds of greediness it is much more subtle and light than those that gargantua and his family like. It's for all tastes. We were 7, jumped 9 different dishes and loved everything! the direct view of the castle does not ruin anything! It was beautiful, and we were able to enjoy the terrace. We still want it and again! and the value/price ratio is quite correct because quality is paid, but it remains affordable. A great time.
in almost 10 years we have never had any disappointment with this address!!! each of our passages in touraine we make a jump to treat our taste buds. Whether the cakes, chocolate, pastries, tea salon, confectionery or the salted part ... everything is nice for both eyes and taste. friendly, personalized and dynamic reception.
Stopped off hear on a Geocashing day for a quick bite to eat , not a lot left but it was 2.00pm. Did buy a few pastries and very good they were to. A tiny coke at 2 euro each was a bit much for even a takeaway but it was a stifling hot day, so was welcomed. Would visit again to try more of the food. Reserva una mesa ahora
One of my 2 favourite cake shops/tea rooms in the world (and the other isn't far away) and a must for any visit to the area. The display of cakes in the window is always very impressive and they taste as good as they look. The chocolates are also worth sampling. Can't wait till I can visit again
If you want real French pastry, I recommend this house. pastries are delicious, full of finesse and originality in flavors. the setting is very pleasant, the decor is simple the charm of this old house is enough to feel good. the only flat is the welcome that lacks enthusiasm and warmth.
Delicious pastry and chocolate. You can enjoy a nice cup of hot coco or coffee and taste their delicious varieties of cake, cookies and sweets. Facing the chateau de Langeais you can spend time their before or after the Cattle visit. Very friendly and professional staff.
