FOOD is 4 STARS: The flavoring, the textures, and his cooking skills are immaculate. But the portions are off. There were more rice than there was meat/veggies. I’m sure their sushi IS BOMB though. I predict their sushi would be just as good as any other, big and popular sushi restaurant because the flavors, smell, and the taste of everything is reaaally good. Service is 5 since it’s easy and straightforward. You get your dish served on the counter, and you pick it up to bring it to your desired table. A HIDDEN GEM LIKE NO OTHER!! Very reasonable prices, DELICIOUS and AUTHENTIC food, FAST service. A complaint i Will address for the owner is about the business and its operation… i have worked in food industry and i frequently travel to find the best food joints.. so i say this as advice more so than complaint.. CUT THE MENU IN HALF. Focus on all the best sold items. Cost of goods is too high today to be offering 50 items on a menu. Sushi IS LITERALLY THE BEST IN TOWN. Focus on that and cater to the newer crowds available in the area. This business is so successful!
We live close to Maki Yaki and we love to call and order! It's always delicious! and ready very fast. My hubby orders sushi and I order anything that isnt sushi. The sushi is always very fresh, according to my husband. I love their Tempura Shrimp and Teriyaki chicken bowl. Give them a try, you'll be glad you did!! oh and the potstickers are excellent too!
This has to be my favorite sushi place because of the service. The man and woman who always help me are friendly and very quick! The prices are also great, and there are usually special deals on certain rolls. I would highly recommend the rainbow roll because of the variety in toppings and it's usually on special.

Really nice spot to pop in and get some sushi. The veggie roll was such a surprise. I usually get them with another roll just to make sure I'm getting a balanced meal, but this was genuinely really tasty on its own. New favorite lunch spot Food: 5/5
The food is pretty great. It is a little small on portion size for the price and for being a self-service restaurant. The spicy pork bowl is pretty excellent.Food: 5/5
This place rocks! There isn’t much space to eat there so it’s definitely best for takeout. The food is amazing and the owners are really friendly.
10 years I’ve visited this place and I’ve never had a bad meal. It’s always damn I wish I had some more
